The gauge at H0
The boundary of the bright area (EEO § 9) is relevant even in the size H0. Das Bild zeigt den Regellichtraum mit den Maßen in mm für H0. The picture shows the normally light room with the dimensions in mm for H0.
There are also a current subscription with the most important dimensions for the rail environment like platforms and ramps: loading gauge and track area. Modular system H0-Europe 1:87 (NEM)
H0-Europe after NEM is the oldest FREMO-Module System. Out of it have evolved over time following the trend to larger scale, developed several systems, although technically only partially compatible.
This is about modules, the Wheel-/Track-System accordance with the standards of European model railroader (NEM) work.
The boundary in the direction of scale is roughly at Code83 rails (allowing operation with NEM310 axles with a wheel flange height of D max. 1.2 mm) in conjunction with the term RP25 describe the well (flange height D 0.64 mm) or NEM-compliant.
The trend is here to better standards, ie Code 100 tracks on old Modules are still allowed, but should not be rebuilt; The allowable maximum of D should not be exploited; RP25 wheelsets are strongly recommended;
in relation to heartpieces the smallest gap and groovemeasure are desired NEM values allowed.
The narrow H0m H0e can be connected with transition stations to the standard gauge railway.
The NEM fraction is divided into several groups, which decouple the choice of model.
Here we have the friends of single-track branch lines, and the two-lane main runways as well as a strong group who are interested in private tracks and building blocks thereof. Additional separate of course between the state rail company (DB, DR, NSB, DSB, SJ, CSD ...), and different epochs. This is no strict dividing lines, as many modules because of their landscape can be inserted in many places in an event.
The general references for planning, material and construction of a module also applies to the module system H0-Europe. For this reason, treated only quirks and variations on this page.
Theme
Standard gauge, not electrified single-track branch line or double-track main line (top speed 120 km / h), each with corresponding signaling.
In practice, mainly German model (in Railways or secondary age 3-4), but other models and time periods are possible (Bavarian State Railways, SNCF, NS, DR of the GDR, German Railways, etc.).
Within this definition, different models are conceivable, of a Street running local train to main track routes.
Colours and landscape
At the module end there shall be grass.
Length Profiles shall be painted brown (RAL 8011) or grey (RAL 7001). (This point has been discussed for years, which so is inconclusive).
The illustrated season is the summer.
There are proposals for a more accurate color and material coordination at a more consistent picture of the overall cost to achieve.
At the end posts the top two centimeters, and any surfaces that may be visible with any necessary combination with other standard end posts, must be painted in green, brown and black (Camouflage) or in addition to the subsequent landscape, so small inconsistencies or the ( sometimes inevitable) Landscape break when using different or twisted (B) End profiles is not so visible.
