12. FREMOdern meeting in Kolding
Stammtisch FREMOdern DK invites you to the FREMOdern module meeting in Kolding.
The plan was to drive in the period 1980-1994.
The facility was built with a main section, double track of just over 80 meters and 40 meters of single track.
There were 2 single track sidings, one of 23 meters leading to a ferry dock and the other of 18 meters leading to a fiddleyard. In addition, there were 3 industrial tracks, one of 14 meters with 8 industrial customers, the second of 5 meters with 1 chemical incineration plant and the third of 8 meters with a larger industrial port. All in all, a facility of just over 200 meters of modules.
The timetable was structured so that the red IC trains and ML train sets were in focus on the main line, on the side lines it was the red MR/MRD trains and OHJ in various arrangements such as Marzipanbrød/MX with passenger cars and rail buses.
International passenger traffic was Merkur with the ferry Queen Margrethe II from the islands, and Skandia-Expres and Skandinavien Holland Express on the main route.
On the freight side, MZ, MY, MX and MT dominated with continuous freight trains, shunting local freight trains and terminal trains.
The terminal trains ran between a few selected points with containers, swap bodies and trailers.
